Through our dedicated breeding program, Circle G Minis, we specialize in raising exceptional miniature Highland and HighPark cattle known for their beauty, gentle temperaments, and hardy nature.

Meet the owner

Ranching isn’t just something Cassaundra does – it’s who she is. She grew up on her family’s third-generation commercial beef cattle ranch, where caring for livestock, managing pastures, and understanding herd dynamics were part of everyday life. From an early age, she learned the value of hard work, patience, and respect for the animals entrusted to her. Those lessons shaped her approach to ranching and her deep appreciation for the connection between people, land, and livestock.

With more than 15 years of experience working in the agricultural industry with both cattle and horses alike, Cassaundra brings a lifetime of hands-on knowledge to Palm Avenue Acres. Here, we combine time-tested ranching traditions with a modern, thoughtful approach to breeding and raising cattle. Every decision – from pasture management to genetic pairing – is made with care, backed by years of experience and an unwavering commitment to animal health and well-being.

At Palm Avenue Acres,  home of Circle G Minis,  our mission is simple: To raise healthy, well-bred animals while building lasting relationships with the families, farms, and breeders who welcome them into their lives.

What we do

Circle G Minis is the heart of our breeding program at Palm Avenue Acres, dedicated exclusively to producing exceptional miniature Highland and HighPark cattle. These beloved breeds are known for their gentle dispositions, distinctive long coats, and hardy, adaptable natures – qualities we strive to preserve and enhance through careful selection and thoughtful breeding.

Our focus at Circle G Minis is on quality over quantity. Each pairing is planned with intent and considers genetics, conformation, temperament, and color to produce calves that are not only beautiful but also healthy, socialized, and well-suited for a variety of purposes. Whether destined to become a cherished pasture companion, a quality addition to a breeding program, or a unique family farm favorite, our calves are raised with individualized care and attention from the very start.

Because of our lifetime of experience in ranching and animal husbandry, you can feel confident that every Circle G Mini comes from a program rooted in expertise and passion. We take pride in raising cattle that thrive both here on the farm and in their future homes, and we remain committed to supporting our clients every step of the way.

Circle G Minis isn’t just a name—it’s a promise of quality, dedication, and heart behind every calf we raise.

What are some Highland cattle benefits?

two calves, a miniature highland and miniature highpark, of Circle G Minis at Palm Avenue Acres in Lake County Florida

Highland cattle pack practical, low-input benefits into a hardy, eye-catching package. Their dense double coat lets them thrive on rough forage and in harsh or variable weather, so more energy goes to growth instead of backfat. They’re efficient browsers that clean up brush and weeds, improving pastures and supporting regenerative grazing. Cows are famously maternal with easy calvings and long productive lives – often breeding well into their teens – so you buy fewer replacements and enjoy steadier returns. Highlands produce naturally lean, flavorful beef without sacrificing eating quality, adapt across climates by shedding their coat seasonally (just add shade and water in hot regions), and their moderate frames – plus miniature lines – fit beautifully on limited acreage.

As companions, Highlands are unusually calm, curious, and people-oriented. Handled young, they halter-train easily, come for scratches, and make excellent “pasture pets” for families and 4-H – always with livestock common sense and horn awareness. They’re intelligent and food-motivated, so simple target training keeps chores low-stress and builds a bond that feels closer to a giant pup than a typical beef breed. Their photogenic look and gentle demeanor make them natural farm mascots, and give them a compatible buddy (cattle are herd animals and require companionship), good fence, shade, clean water, minerals, and a scratch post or brush, and you’ll have a long-lived, low-drama companion that’s as useful on the farm as they are lovable.
